How to test Proline

During development

1. Test on Dev the tickets assigned to you on the browser versions in this page: Browser versions to check .

2. Make sure to follow the workflow in Rocket Web Maintenance Workflow (Kanban)

On "QA" milestone

1. Check on Dev that all tickets from the current sprint, are tested and approved by you (JIRA status = Testing)

2. Make sure the Tech lead has deployed all tickets to Staging (JIRA status = Testing, assignee = Tech Lead)
   

3. Start the Smoke test on Staging

   1. use the steps in QA Smoke test

   2. do the steps on these browser versions: Browser versions to check .

4. Report bugs found during the Smoke test - and provide this info:

   1. should say if its only on Staging or on Live, too

      1. if it's only on Staging → we need to fix it without approval and without another smoke test; will be assigned to Alexandra to assign further

      2. those are on Live too → will be assigned to the Account Manager, to be fixed at a later time

   2. should say where it was seen

      1. OS

      2. device

      3. browser version

5. Send an email with the Smoke test results

   1. The tester is required to deliver a mail report for each smoke test we run.  

   2. In the title it should be something like  [project name] Smoke test – [date]

   3. Send email to: Tech Lead, Account Manager and Alexandra (see Project Plan for Proline Maintenance for their info)

On "Deploy" milestone

1. Ask the Tech Lead if they have any special request, to check for the current deploy.

2. Run a Smoke test on Live

   1. use the steps in QA Smoke test

   2. do the steps on these browser versions:  Browser versions to check .

3. Report bugs found during the Smoke test

   1. should say where it was seen

      1. OS

      2. device

      3. browser version

   2. assign all to the Tech Lead

      1. The Tech Lead will evaluate if the bugs are related to the deploy or not, and provide next steps

4. Send an email with the Smoke test results

   1. The tester is required to deliver a mail report for each smoke test we run.  

   2. In the title it should be something like  [project name] Smoke test – [date]

   3. Send email to: Tech Lead, Account Manager and Alexandra (see Project Plan for Proline Maintenance for their info)
