Notes and Questions

Goals

  • Is the goal to sell the basic extension, or to upsell them to more expensive packages?  The preference wasn't clear in our discussions.
  • Do we know the avg cost and profit margin for the basic extension vs the other packages we are going to offer?
  • Acquiring the customers and building a relationship with them should not only be profitable in the short term, but certainly will pay dividends in the long run.  
  • If we can convert them to an upsell option for setting up the feed, or even an ongoing support option,  building a relationship and helping the customer get started quicker and easier, should help them make more money and lead to additional Rocketweb purchases and likely more referrals.

Pricing

  • Expected profit from purchasing the feed, installation?  This can help us determine the correct price once these figures are known.
  • Could have Installation and Configuration as separate purchase options.
  • Always good to have at least 3 pricing options steer customers towards the packages we prefer them to select
  • Rules of 9 Pricing-the pricing should all end in 9
  • Generate some upsell ideas in addition to what is alread there for Google Shopping Feed (example about about separating the Install and Config).

  • Top 3's and 5's Lists
  • Ex: Top 5 reasons to choose RocketWeb Shopping Feed-make money back in 1st month
  • Write unique content specific to Magento, Google, Bing

Create Videos

  • Make a video series for Youtube
  • Instead of creating really long videos, it would be better to make lots of 2-3 minutes videos that address common questions and concerns-this can mirror the Q&A section we create, but this will favor people that prefer visual teaching.
  • Cross-promote this on Twitter, Facebook, and website

Social Media

  • Adding regular posts for Twitter and Facebook will help not only with SEO, but will help promote products to potential customers.

RocketWeb Ratings

  • Google Shopping Feed has 0 Reviews
  • We have great rating on Magento website, so we need to remind people through post-purchase emails (similar to Amazon) that ask them to review their experience.  Send out an initial email and then follow up again a week or two later.
  • Ratings will help with SEO and also helps people make their purchasing decision after seeing lots of other satisfied customers.

Shopping Feed Page

  • Add FAQ which proposes and answers popular questions buyers have
  • There is a Q& A section on Magento website, but being proactive and writing up lots of questions and answers in advance could help facilitate more sales by alleviating common concerns
  • The new shopping feed questions should be very similar, so pick 10 or 15 commonly asked questions
  • Make sure to use commonly searched terms and phrases in the Q & A to help rank better for popular terms

Competition

Could make a comparison chart of the new Shopping Feed vs our competition.  Would include basic selling points

Rocketweb Blog

  • Start posting regularly on the website.  Can be announcements or detailed articles, but will help for SEO purposes.

Marketing Message

  • Really need to push that we are the preferred choice by Google in marketing our products

Bloggers and Industry Websites

Squeeze Pages

  • Lots of calls to action to purchase-this should be done on not only the page where customers will make their purchase, but especially in blog posts on the website.
